An exciting festival of performing arts, including short plays, local comedians, musicians, dancers, and more. Sign up to compete or come enjoy the fun.

See a play, watch a film, enjoy a song, or laugh at a joke you've never heard before at this festival and contest for original creative works in theatre, music, dance, stand-up comedy, magic, or whatever entertainers bring to the stage. Over an exciting week of performances, contestants will compete to entertain you as you vote for your favorite acts. Awards

For the 2023 festival, awards for each event, including first, second, and third place, will be 2 season tickets to the Angelus Theatre (a $200 value) as well as additional awards (TBA) from sponsors. Tickets and certificates will be awarded to the winners at the awards ceremony on Saturday night, September 16th.

Rules

1. All work must be original and created and put on by residents of Utah.
2. Contestants must physically attend the festival.

Festival Schedule

Fine Arts Festival

Contestants can submit visual art of any medium to be showcased at the theater throughout the run of the festival. Patrons can place purchasing bids and vote on their favorites. The winning pieces will receive awards.

Theatre Festival

Short Play Festival

Playwrights, directors, and actors will work together to present original comedic or dramatic one act plays or musicals. There will be a prize (TBA) for the best play. All of the short plays will be performed on each of the following nights:

• Date/Time: Saturday, September 16, 7:00 pm

Utah's Got Talent

This is the big event you don't want to miss, featuring some of the best in local music groups, comedians, dancers, or whatever contestants bring to the stage. Awards will be given for the audience favorites.

• Friday, September 15, 7:00 pm

24 Hour Play and Film Festivals

Playwrights, actors, and filmmakers will have exactly 24 hours to write, rehearse, and create 10 minute plays and films. The audience favorites will receive awards. If you're tired of the same old, then you're bound to enjoy these fresh plays and films that didn't exist yesterday. Laughter is inevitable. Good times are guaranteed. A perfect date or family night.
